The crazy witchcraft magic has really kicked in and Veil is on the short end of the stick. Cormac has her under control and she can’t fight him off. Dante went into hiding at a friend’s house but something weird happens there. One of the magic rats bit his friend and was able to speak through him. Crazy stuff. Dante thought so as well. The rat claims to be Veil’s boss and it wants Dante to kill Cormac to free her. Veil is on her own assignment under Cormac spell and takes care of some business herself. What Dante does at the might come back to bite him in the behind later but I can’t be for certain. It wasn’t very nice for sure.
I think the series is starting to get good. We are seeing more of what this Veil character is and the rats that Rucka talked about are making a more prominent appearance. The story moves very quickly in this book. It seems to be a common theme where there are lots of panels of just art. I am enjoying this title and look forward to reading it when it comes available. It’s nice to read work from the big 2 writers doing their own creator owned stories. This is one for Rucka and he is seeming to have some fun with it.
