And speaking of travel, did you know I’m taking my first real vacation since 2008? A vacation that includes a plane ride? A vacation that does not include my children?
That’s right, folks. I’m going to Disney World, the happiest place on Earth!
If you recall, I expressed my desire to bring my husband, who’s never been to Disney World, before we began visiting with children. If you’ve been, you know the experience completely changes in the presence or absence of children. After a disturbing amount of begging from our side (I do not kid), we finally cracked my family, who agreed to pinch hit for us for a three-day period. Since the begging lasted so long, some of our earlier options had become rather unreachable. Luckily, during an eleventh-hour reprieve, we were able to pull together a short trip to Florida. We’re leaving in eight days.
And I’m both so guilty and so excited, I could puke.
