It's just a waiting game now, I was counting sort of every day but that makes me a little on edge so i've stopped now and just relaxing and not really thinking too much about it :). I have been in early labor for the past 4 days with contractions getting up to every 6 minutes for a few hours at one point but they weren't too painful really, more like strong pressure. I had a go on the birthing ball yesterday which seemed to give me some more painful contractions last night and today so maybe that has helped with making some progress :).
So what's an overdue pregnant woman to do whilst she's waiting...CLEAN! Ha, every day i'm cleaning something new, i'm not really nesting now, just wanting to keep everything tidy as she can decide to come at any minute..no-one wants to come home from having a baby with washing up and a messy house!
Also, I was thinking about it yesterday, but when you watch movies and people go into labour, you see them in a little bit of pain suddenly, their waters break then bam they're on their way to the hospital panting away and there baby is born within an hour! Maybe for some people it is genuinely like that, but not for me, like I said above, it all started on my due date on the 13th, it's been a long process for me, not painful, not stressful, it's just made me even calmer about the actual labor because it's been building up for so long..
You may hear from me again on Thursday where we have our 41 week appointment, if not, then you know we will either be having our little girlie or settling in as a little family :). I'll finish this post with a few Instagram photos from last week, if you want more updates on baby, add me on there :) @jessicahill__x :)
Have a good week and wish me luck :)
