This past Thursday, Blouse (@blouse) opened up an evening of music at Brooklyn’s Glasslands Gallery. All the way from Portland, Oregon, they treated everyone to their laid-back, West Coast sound, acting as the perfect appitizer for the musical feast which followed. Brooklyn’s own Hopitality (@hsptlty), the second on stage, continued to impress with their mixture of clever lyrics and folky twang.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra (@umo), the brain child of Portland, Oregon via UK multi-instrumentalist Rubin Nielson, have clearly mastered a level musical ability and energy that Glasslands crowds identify with. Short, high energy songs with simple lyrics were the perfect way to completely satisfy the attentive and eager audience.
