University of Minnesota - Wow!

By Homesmsp @HomesMSP

I can't say what I was expecting when I visited the University of Minnesota campus yesterday. But, I came away with a high respect for this complex organism. It's easy to look at a university as just a body of students moving toward a degree.  What I saw was students with a casual seriousness about life and learning. Responsible in their carriage and ready to learn.

The campus itself was beautiful. Integrating green open spaces, a combination of well suited new and venerable old buildings and light rail transit. A progressive hospital, research facilities and retail ventures. Putting all that together means a great deal to the cities that surround it. That includes private housing near the campus. Houses for sale near University of Minnesota.

Good looking new construction and innovations have upped the standards for housing in the neighborhood. Sure there is housing that need improvements, but that's all in progress. Take a look at these pictures to see how all of this has come together.

Walking/strolling through the U of M campus is well worth the venture. History is here as well as beautiful buildings. Feel the energy during the week and community on the weekends. Open your eyes and welcome the richness of this gem of higher education right in the middle of the Twin Cities.

With Viking's home games at the University during the next couple of years, take advantage of the location, park away from the crowded lots and enjoy a stroll through the University grounds that all of us have invested in and can be very proud of. You won't regret it!
