In honor of National Lipstick Day, I will be featuring my five favorite lipsticks from Korean and Philippine brands. Because I'm sure many of you are familiar with many western brands, so let me introduce some of the best from our side of the world. For the fourth feature, I am will be talking about this BLK Soft Matte Mousse review.
WHAT IS IT?
This BLK Soft Matte Mousse I got is from their Holiday Collection Set that I received last December 2018. It is a velvety, liquid matte lippie in plum rose hue. The velvety mousse melts on lips for smooth, seamless application. It dries to a sleek matte finish so just like the Colourette Colortints, it can be worn as an eye shadow or as a creamy blush.

PERFORMANCE
APPLICATION: Outline the lips with the tip of the wand, then fill in the rest of the lips, ensuring an even coat.
SCENT: It smells like butter with a hint of vanilla.
PACKAGING: Since I got this from a set, I'm not sure if this comes in a box if you buy it alone. But the tube itself is ordinary, circular with a doe-foot applicator.
TEXTURE & FORMULA: This resembles the Missha Jewel Stone Tint Velvet but less buttery. It feels really soft and light. When you blot it with tissue, it feels like you're not wearing anything. But it is not moisturizing enough for chapped or dry lips.
MY THOUGHTS
The BLK Soft Matte Mousse is pigmented but if you have dark lips like mine, you may need 2-3 swipes for full coverage. It's not transfer-proof, but it lasts a decent 4 hours on my lips and it leaves a nice tint shade when faded. Overall, it's a good quality lipstick and affordable. I will definitely buy it again if I like a new shade.

VERDICT
PROS: It's lightweight, pigmented, and affordable.
CONS: Besides not being not transfer-proof, I don't see any other reason why you shouldn't try it.
WHERE TO BUY?
You can purchase the BLK Soft Matte Mousse in Lazada for Php279.
You can also purchase it in Zalora for Php379.
