Umberto Giannini Sex Bomb Massive Mousse
I've had this bottle of mousse hiding away in my stash for quite some time and I thought it was about time I made some use of it when I came across it the other week. I'm sure I got this bottle of Umberto Giannini Sex Bomb Massive Mousse from the Glam Hair range in a Christmas gift set which seems to be the only way I try out Umberto Giannini products (whoops). I've never really been a mousse user as I have gotten into the habit of doing my hair in as few steps as possible, but now that my hair is getting a lot longer it's really started to look a bit meh. I think it's probably a combination of the longer length and the fact that the natural state of my hair is pretty much poker straight, which means my hair is left looking weighed down and a bit flat and lifeless after washing. But never fear, it was Umberto to the rescue with this mousse.
You get 200ml of product in this bottle which I'm happy about as I'm sure it'll last a fair amount of time, especially for someone like me who washes their hair every other day or every few days (depending on how reliant I am on dry shampoo at the time of course). The smell of this mousse is pretty strong but I wouldn't say it's a horrible scent by any means. I can't put my finger on what the strong scent actually is but I will say that it doesn't linger for very long in the hair once it's blow-dried so you really don't need to worry about it masking your perfume or anything like that. Application couldn't be easier as you just take a skoosh of product and scrunch it into the roots of your hair when it's still damp, and it really doesn't take much mousse to give my roots a good covering so I'm sure the bottle will be lasting a good amount of time.
I've been using the product after every wash for a couple of weeks now and have definitely seen a difference in the volume of the roots of my hair once it's blow-dried. The roots that were once weighed down and flat looking now have more life to them which is especially handy when I wear my hair naturally straight as I don't fancy having the style fall flat against my head. It's really not a good look, trust me! This added volume is also a massive help now that I have a full fringe as the added layers really need more of a lift in order to look their best (or at least that's what I think). The mousse doesn't leave a greasy residue in my roots which I was always worried about as I tend to get really oily roots not long after washing, and it adds a nice texture to my hair without making it feel crispy or dry which makes styling that bit easier.
All in all, the Umberto Giannini Sex Bomb Massive Mousse is a very welcome addition to my blow-drying routine. I can't see myself without this product now as I'm very much enjoying my fuller looking hair and I'm sure with a little back-combing my roots would be looking even fuller which would be perfect for going out at night. I would definitely recommend this mousse to anybody looking to give their flat hair a bit more life with minimal effort as my long flat hair is definitely looking a million times better now. You can find the Sex Bomb Massive Mousse in Boots for £5.61 which I'd gladly pay for bigger looking hair!
