So today is my two year blogaversary and I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. I'm so grateful to all of you who have been on this journey with me. Thanks for taking the time to stop by each day and for all of your lovely comments, I truly appreciate each and every one. If it weren't for you, I'd be writing to no one.
I wanted to something a little different today. Last year, I did a comparison of my earlier posts and how far I'd come with my pictures. This time, I wanted to also do a comparison, but I decided to re-swatch instead. I chose two polishes from my very first posts and did updated swatches. I also did some nail art with them, since I've been experimenting with nail art more and more over the last year.

While my application was good two years ago, the picture left much to be desired. What's up with the background? The updated swatch is way better. The focus is on the polish and there are no distractions. For the pic below, I decided to apply two coats of China Glaze Blonde Bombshell. I then used striping tape to create two vertical lines on each nail and added Chocolate Factory. I topped it off with Nubar Diamont.

I thought this was a really cute look. I love brown and gold together.Finger Paints Blank Canvas Cream
I love this nude. It's the first polish I ever got from Sally's. See how blurry the first pic is? Smh. The updated version is wayyyy better. It even looks like a different polish. For the nail art, I tried a design similar to what a former co-worker had on her nails. I created varying swirly lines using Sally Hansen Fuchsia Power (pink), Pure Nail Lacquer Sunny Disposition (yellow), and Sinful Colors Savage (teal). I then used a nail art brush to created the dotted lines.
I was super happy with how this mani turned out. It reminded me of abstract art.
This nail polish blogging world has really expanded my ability to be creative with my nails and I'm looking forward to seeing what the next year has in store.
I hope you guys liked this post. Let me know what you think of these manis! Thanks again so much for reading!!
