For this week's Twinsie Tuesday prompt, we have to share a follower requested mani. A while ago, I shared this mani on Instagram and one of my followers asked for a tutorial, so I thought that this would be the perfect time to do one.
This time, I decided to use Lime Crime Once in a Blue Mousse (thanks Nory) and OPI Do You Lilac It?. I also used Nail Vinyls instead of striping tape, which I used for the original manicure.
Here's a pictorial for how I completed this look.
1. Start with your base colors.
2. Once your base colors are dry, apply striping tape or nail vinyls to create the stripes.
3. Apply second color and remove tape.
4. Create second design with striping tape or nail vinyls.
5. Apply second color and add top coat.
A few tips when doing designs like these:
*The first coat should be dry before putting striping tape or vinyls on the nails.
*The tape should be completely stuck to the nail and to the edges. This will ensure that there is no bleeding of the polish. Unfortunately, that happened with my pinky finger :(.
*Remove the tape right away after adding the second coat.
*Wait a few minutes before applying top coat so there is no smudging.

It's a baby blue, leaning mint green creme. The first coat was a bit streaky, but it leveled out with the second coat. I used two coats with no top coat.And here is OPI Do You Lilac It? on its own.
