Ameer Alam Sher Mehsud, Chief of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Karachi chapter has been arrested in port city today. Karachi Police today arrested two people in connection with Abbas Town blast. One of the arrested persons is accused of parking explosives laden Suzuki pickup at the blast site. Police on their tip off raided “Khuda Ki Basti” in Sarjani Town area and arrested Alam Sher Mehsud. He is accused to be involved in Abbas Town blasts in which over 50 people lost their lives.
Sindh Rangers has also arrested a target killer Bilal alias tension in Mangho Pir area of Karachi. A cache of arms has also been recovered from Bilal.
