True Blood’s Vampire James Actor Has Been Replaced

Posted on the 10 February 2014 by Truebloodnetcom @truebloodnet

nathan-parsons1Many fans of HBO’s True Blood were excited to see Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll) get James (Luke Grimes) as a new love interest, in Season 6. The fact that James was very easy on the eye was also applauded.

Grimes joined the cast of True Blood in order to work with Deborah Ann Woll (who he also co-stars with in Forever). Allegedly, once he read the scripts for True Blood Season 7, it seems he may have gotten cold feet. While Luke’s representative has declined to comment, a source who claims to be close to Luke Grimes reported the following to TVLine:

He initially joined the show because he wanted to work with Deborah Ann Woll. But when he started reading the scripts for Season 7, he was disappointed to learn that they were going in a completely different direction with James.

While there has been no confirmation or denial of these remarks, the matter still remained: Luke Grimes requested he be released from his contract with HBO’s True Blood and that a replacement hunk had to found – and quickly!

It has now been conformed (once again by TVLine) that Nathan Parsons (of Bunheads and General Hospital fame) will be replacing Luke Grimes in the role of vampire James. Judging by the photo above, it looks like HBO have done a good job of replacing Grimes – but what do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
