True Blood’s Joe Manganiello Appears on AMC’s Talking Dead

Joe Manganiello (Alcide in HBO's True Blood) on AMC's Talking DeadAs we reported last week, True Blood actor Joe Manganiello made his appearance on AMC’s Talking Dead last night. He appeared alongside The Walking Dead’s graphic novel creator and executive producer of the AMC program, Robert Kirkman. Later in the show he was joined by Lew Temple, who plays ex-con Axle, in The Walking Dead.

Joe Manganiello (who plays Alcide Herveaux in HBO’s True Blood) was quick to point out that he has been a long time fan of the Robert Kirkman graphic novels and offered many great insights into what occurred in Episode 10 of The Walking Dead. Joe stayed for the whole program and there was plenty of light-hearted banter between him and the co-host, Chris Hardwick.

There was even a True Blood question (of sorts) for Joe Manganiello when one person tweeted asking: “If a vampire bit a zombie would it become a zombie or would the zombie become a vampire?” Joe’s response was (after having to do the math):

“Zombie stays zombie…well in Season 1 of True Blood there was a big thing about this Hepatitis D that the vampires were catching. So I would like to think that they would catch some form of disease from the still blood inside them. I think they [the vampires] would get an upset stomach.”

Chris Hardwick wanted to debate the effects of zombie bites on vampires and vice versa, but unfortunately the show only goes for an hour, and they had to move along.

And move along they did, right into the ‘Dead Yourself’ app. Joe was happy to dead himself and here is the result:
