True Blood Church to Get a Makeover

Posted on the 04 September 2014 by Truebloodnetcom @truebloodnet

In Season 7 we saw Reverend Daniels (Gregg Daniel) and his wife, Lettie Mae (Adina Porter) welcome vampire Willa Burrell (Amelia Blaire Rose) into the church when she had nowhere else to live. It was also the meeting point when the Hep-V vampires overran Bon Temps. Lastly, it was a place Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) went to when seeking advice about the little problem she was having with Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) in Episode 10 (entitled Thank You).

Thanks to all this, the congregation of the First Christian Church now have to decide which color to paint it – white like it was or something a little different:

The surprise was the congregation voted for a gray-green trim, [only to discover during the power washing] a lot of layers down there was that gray-green color we decided on for the trim! At one time the whole church has been painted that color! We all found that fascinating.

Pastor Jenny Crosswhite had to say.

However, they had to wait for the paint job even though the funds were provided after the first time True Blood was filmed there, just in case HBO needed to film other events there before the Season 7 finale.
