The desert is a lonely place
You trudge for day’s and day’s
Keeping faith that your best friend
Hasn’t gone away
Hoping that the path you walk
Is leading to His will
And what you were created for
Is waiting for you still.
For everybody’s got a gift
That only we can use
To be disciples on this earth
If only we’d cut loose
To find that lush oasis
The Spirit will provide
And be that bubbling child of God
That’s difficult to hide.
