Dubai is one of the fastest growing cities in the world and an increasingly frequent destination for Poles' holidays. In this post, we will summarize our trip to Dubai, including all prices we have incurred to plan and travel. Thanks to this you will find out how much a trip to Dubai costs. When is the best weather? This question is asked by everyone traveling outside Europe. In our opinion, the best time to go to the UAE is from January to April, and then from November to December. In the remaining months, the temperature reaches enormous values (above 40 degrees), and the stay is limited only to jumping from one air-conditioned place to another. Rainfall throughout the year is minimal, it often happens that they are only two or three days a month.
Safety and customs
United Arab Emirates is one of the safest countries in the world! The penalties for even the smallest offenses are very severe, and the majority of those working in Dubai are visitors for whom the conflict with the law is tantamount to deportation. Staying drunk on the outside is also a quick direct attention to the police, which means no conflicts caused by drunks.
As the UAE is an Arab country, there are restrictions on clothing here. Dubai is quite liberal in this matter, but for example in Abu Dhabi or other places far away from tourist areas we can meet with a crooked look if we do not cover our shoulders and knees, and certainly we will not be allowed into temples and many other buildings. We can easily parade on the beach in a bikini or swimsuit.
However, during Ramadan it is forbidden to drink, eat and smoke in public places, such a ban applies all year round in the Dubai metro.
What to see in Dubai Tourist attractions
The symbol of Dubai is certainly the tallest building in the world - Burj Khalifa, seeing the panorama of the city from the 124th floor is a must. Right next to the mentioned structure there is also the largest shopping mall Dubai Mall and amazing fountains .
The districts worth visiting are Dubai Marina, where we will see beautiful yachts, skyscrapers and restaurants as well as the oldest part of the city - Deira . Along the whole of Dubai there are neat beaches with the 7 * Hotel Burj Al Arab and Palm Island .
We suggest spending one day on an amazing trip to the desert , for me it was the biggest attraction of the whole trip.
Map and getting around Dubai
Dubai has an automatic metro throughout the entire length of the city, making traveling easy. To places where the metro does not reach you can get by bus or tram.
The best solution for a longer stay in Dubai is to buy a weekly ticket for these means of transport. You can buy a Silver NOL Card at the information point at each metro station. The purchase cost is AED 25 , but 19 units of this amount can be used for journeys, so in practice we pay the cost of AED 6 for a 5-year card .
Then, in a self-service machine, we recharge our card for 110 AED and run the aforementioned 7 day pass to all zones (here we cannot use the 19 AEDs already on the card).
Dubai prices
Many people mistakenly think that a city covered with gold and wealth must also be expensive. Fortunately, this is not the case, prices and the exchange rate are very similar to Polish ones. Of course, things imported from Europe will be expensive, but we can replace them with Asian products. The cost of accommodation in relation to the amenities offered is one of the lowest in the world. Public transport, and above all taxis, are also cheaper than in Poland due to low fuel prices.

Time to sum up the money spent on our stay in Dubai. We traveled to the Arab Emirates in three, flying the WizzAir line from Katowice. We spent the night in one of the more expensive districts - Dubai Marina in comfortable conditions with a balcony to the bay and nearby to the metro station. We usually prepared breakfasts and suppers ourselves, shopping in Carrefour in the building where we slept, while we ate dinners in restaurants. We used many attractions, the price of which was reduced by half by the Entertainer Dubai coupon system.
Total cost
To sum up, we spent about 1000 USD per person for the entire trip to Dubai, city transport and transportation . The price shown for a 7-day stay in one of the most amazing cities in the world is in my opinion a very low cost, many people spend more on the Polish seaside, and in Dubai we are sure that the weather will not take away the joy of our trip. Dubai is definitely a place that you must see at least once in your life. Stay in this city can be limited to 2-3 days, during this time we will see the main attractions of Dubai. The main thing is to get to the Emirates between December and April - then we can live in moderate temperatures as on the coast of the Persian Gulf.
