Trend Trotting Thursday- "i See Stripes"

' TREND TROTTING THURSDAY ' is a bi-weekly style series where every other week I will invite a different guest blogger to style a look based on a certain, mutually-chosen-trend. It could be related to fashion, beauty, accessories or shoes..........  not to worry, we'll have it all covered. Feel free to suggest or request a particular trend you would like to see here.
So one blog, two bloggers....one trend, two trendy looks......a win-win for both our readers and us.
Today's theme for TTT is stripes. Elena and I have put together two looks for you and also have a few Do's and Dont's for wearing this trend.

Elena's ( DC in style ) DO's for wearing stripes:- Do wear a dress like her's, with stripes running diagonally across the dress, it is universally flattering.  Throw on a denim jacket over stripes or wear them with a more structured blazer. Stripes are appropriate for all occasions.  

Saumya's DONT'S for wearing stripes:- 

Don't shy from wearing horizontal stripes. Pick a size, decently spaced, that balances your bodily lopsidedness. In my case, I chose horizontal on the bottom to offset my broad shoulders. 
Don't go overboard with stripes and prints.  Unless you are a print-mixing pro like her, let one print be the outfit-stopper, in this case the stripes.
Don't stress out, horizontal stripes are fun too !
