There might be some instances when you just have to leave the iPad alone, although you are with friends, but an idevice can tempt anyone! Hence it is best to secure the iPad by using MobileMe application. It can produce a sound or display a message on the screen in case you can’t find you iPad. Also you can also delete all your sensitive data on the iPad as a last resort if you are unable to locate your iPad. The best thing however to do is to never let your sight out of it.

iPads are available in two varieties- One with only WiFi capabilities and other with additional micro Sim with 3G or 4G capabilities. Weather application can also come handy and provide you with the information to plan your travel accordingly.

Losing items while in journey is nothing new and everyone had experienced it once in their journeys or even every time! However losing your beloved iPad is not something you will like. So think in advance and get you iPad insured. There are various travel insurance policies and you can take the advantage of one of them. Make sure that you read the policies quite well as some companies may have just the right clause to deny you a refund.
