Sundays are usually spent with the family and taking the grandparents on small road trips. We took the short drive to The Great Falls in Paterson, a new place even for me. I thoroughly enjoy quick trips like these, because I see nearby cities in a new light, which is one of my goals for this year. It was a bit too windy to take the scenic walk over the 77 foot tall Great Falls, which happen to be the largest waterfall in volume east of the Mississippi. The area is surrounded by waterpower and manufacturing mill remnants dating back as early as the 18th century, with some having been transformed into elementary school classrooms, perfect scenery to have my camera. The falls also have several bike routes, which I hope to run along when warmer months arrive. It was a lovely afternoon, more so because photography makes me truly happy, the perfect mix of calmness and creative rejuvenation, a great way to start a new week.
