Trading in the Espresso Machine for a Juice Machine...

By Healthhungry @Healthhungry
I watched the movie, "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" a few days ago.  I had heard of it - quite frankly the name turned me off a bit, but I am SO GLAD I took the time to watch it...  At the end of the movie, as the credits rolled, so did the tears down my face.  I got up and started throwing out any "crap" food that had found it's way into my pantry -- oh how quickly that can happen...
My next obsession was, how can I afford to buy the Vitamix machine I have been wanting for so long now, I needed to make it happen - and fast!  I sold a ring(that I've been trying to sell for awhile but was holding out for more money) and I returned my espresso machine(Bed, Bath, and Beyond has a fantastic return policy).  I got enough money to buy my juicer, and off to the store I went.
I was feeling like a bit of a heel, knowing I had cleansed for nearly 30 days - and ended up eating dairy and sugar like the world was ending in two months!  But in the movie, "Joe" said: "People often beat themselves up, saying - 'I tried fasting once, and lasted for 3 days'... as if they have failed.  Instead, I say good on you for trying... good on you for trying."
People who achieve their dreams have all been beaten down, many many times.  The difference is, they continue to get back up and try and try again.  I have seen success in my past, and I have let the shame of failure keep me down.  But it ends now.  I am on this earth for a reason, and killing myself slowly with food is NOT it.  Every day is a new beginning, a new chance to make your life what you wish it could be.  Yes I've tried before, and I've had some success - so who's to say this isn't the time that it all comes together?  It's worth a try, don't you think???  I am worth the try...
