Topshop Brighton Rock, £8
This beauty has definitely become my favorite lipstick very very quickly, which is surprising for someone who is usually scared of color on the lips. Topshop Brighton Rock is a gorgeous hot pink that does look a bit scary in the bullet, but once applied to the lips you are left with a lovely bright pink that isn't too in your face. What I love about this shade is that it's quite warm toned compared to the more blue toned pinks that I just don't think suit me at all, so that makes me a very happy camper! I'd say Brighton Rock is very much matte in its finish which I'm usually not a fan of as I prefer more moisturising satin finishes, but the color is just so lovely that I can look past the finish. You just need to make sure you give your lips a good scrub and moisturise before applying or else it will probably cling to dry patches and cracks which definitely isn't the best look. For something that looks so bright, it's amazing how wearable this shade really is. I've even been wearing this as an everyday shade which is very much unheard of for me, and I think that the matte finish helps with this as the lack of shine tones down the hot pink. For all of you colour-phobes out there, I'd definitely recommend Topshop Brighton Rock if you're looking for something brighter this summer. This shade isn't on the website right now and I'm not sure if it's still available in stores, but if not I'm hoping that these bright favourites from last year are back in stock nearer summer-time.
