Too Close was released in the UK in April of 2011 from Clare’s debut album, The Lateness of the Hour. In March 2012, the single was selected by Microsoft for a commercial promoting Internet Explorer 9. This exposure made the song popular and it peaked at #4 in the UK and at #7 on Billboard’s Hot 100. It was later certified double platinum by the RIAA.
