Attention Beauty Lovers! I wanted to pop in really quick and show you my hair for today. I was recently sent some new hair products and I couldn’t wait to test them out. Therefore, I am going to show you how I created today’s hair and give you mini reviews on the products I used. So let’s get to it!
Today’s Hair:
Step 1: Condition And Shampoo Hair
I was recently scent (from Crowdtap) a bunch of samples of the brand new Garneir Whole Blends* shampoo and conditioners. These new products contain beneficial ingredients for your hair. There are three different varieties: Honey Treasures (strengthens & heals damage), Coconut Water & Vanilla Milk (Quenches & Softens), and Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter (for frizzy hair). I chose to test the Honey Treasures sample first. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this sample. It smelled amazing and the sent lingered for a long time (which I love)! I could definitely smell a hint of honey. It really moisturized my hair and my hair really did feel stronger! I love that you can find these products in the drugstore and they are affordable! I have a ton of these packets! Therefore if you would like to try them before buying a FULL SIZE, send me an email ([email protected]) with your address and which variety you would like to try. I will send one to you in the mail (first come, first serve until I am out).
Step 2: Apply a Leave In Serum
I always apply some type of leave in serum to give my hair extra moisture. It also keeps my flyaways tamed and gives me some added heat protection. I used the Agave Healing Oil Treatment* ($40 for 4 oz). I love the smell of this serum! It has a very fresh, but sweet smell. It is so hard to describe, but I love it. You have to be careful with this serum because the tiniest amount goes a very long way. I made the mistake of using too much once and my hair was so greasy. I only apply it to the very ends of my hair where the most moisture is needed. If you have very damaged or frizzy hair, you will love this serum. For my fine hair girls, you only need the slightest amount (and be careful because it comes out of the pump fast). I also love that this serum preserves my hair color (it is safe for color-treated hair).
Step 3: Blow Dry Your Hair
I added a root lift spray to my hair and then used the Bed Head Curlipops Diffuser Dryer* ($34.99). This diffuser looks so cool and I just couldn’t wait to use it. It is suppose to create massive texture and volume. There are two parts: the purple side is used for initial drying and the pink attachment (the diffuser) is used to create volume and waves. I just think this product looks so cool. I love that it has multiple settings (high, low, and cool blast) with multiple heat settings (hot, warm, cool). I start with the purple side and do a quick dry on high hot. I then put on the attachment (diffuser) and run it through my hair. I start on high heat and end with high cool. Now I didn’t get any waves with this hair diffuser because my hair is stick straight. If you have curly hair, it will add loads of waves and texture. However, I love this diffuser so much. It is so lightweight and would be so perfect for travel. It is really easy to use and not bulky like my normal hair dryer (it didn’t weigh my arms down either). It also cut my drying time in half. I have no idea how it did that, but it did. I was able to dry my hair in 10 minutes (usually takes me at least 20-25 minutes). It did add some texture to my hair, but it added loads of volume. My hair felt so soft and volumized. I was totally skeptical about this device, but it proved me wrong. I love it!
Step 4: Add a Texturizing Spray
For the final step, I simply added a texturizing spray to my hair. This will lock in my hair and give me added texture. It will also help my style to last much longer.
There you have it…my hair for today. I had so much fun testing these products! What are your thoughts on this look? Which products would you want to try? Let me know in the comments below!
