So it's finally MY BIRTHDAY! (I've only hinted it ever so subtly this past week) and I'm excited.
Firstly, I'm so grateful to God for another year and I look forward to all that is ahead of me. I'm also grateful to my family, friends and readers for all the support throughout the years. No one told me it'd be easy but it's definitely all been worth it.
I've always been one to keep it slightly simple on my 'born' day as I'm quite laid back when it comes to events and planning but this year I felt like dressing up no matter what I did! I started my celebrations off early yesterday as it's a bank holiday weekend and decided to style myself to the maximum.
I had the pleasure of being given a dress by fabulous designer dress hire uk service Wish Want Wear and was able to choose a dress option from their website and I was in awe of the choices available. I've never actually used a hire service before but as a fashion blogger, I think its awesome to be able to hire a designer dress or accessories for up to a week without the worry of breaking the bank or watching them collect dust in your wardrobe because you can't wear them often enough.
My absolute first choice was this Temperley London Deco Dreaming Gown but it was only available in a larger size but then after lifting my heavy heart and using the side panel filter, I found my ultimate dream dress by Temperley London. I normally shy away from backless pieces but the all-over intricate embellishment details stole my heart. It was also a tough call between this Alice By Temperley Gown and this sequinned Badgely Mischka gown.
My tips for using the Wish.Want.Wear website is that it's so much easier to use the left hand filter panel to narrow down your preferred price range and size as well as any other personal requirements as it saves the impending heartache not being able to wear that gorgeous gown you've just spotted. Also be more flexible with your required date or book well in advance as my dress was already booked for my initial date but I was willing to wait an extra week for it. The fact that their rental prices start from just £29 for designer dresses that retail up to £4000 is just phenomenal.
