To Dye For!

By Trendrighter @trendrighter
I knew the minute I saw my friend's hippy mom poolside this summer wearing a pair of tie-dye shorts, I was secretly wanting a pair.... And now I know I am not alone. It maybe the hipsters bringing all these odd/awkward trends back into the market... but they are here and evident, and I like it.
These are a few simple reasons why I like this trend:
1. It's self made
2. You really cant mess it up
3. It goes with anything (kind of)
Go with me on this colorful journey. Speaking of Journey turn that on, get in the mood while finding something to tie-dye. Heck, throw a tie-die party! I know its getting crazy already... But you could make these awesome jello-shots http://jelly-shot-test-kitchen.blogspot.com/ invite all your friends over for football and the gals can make shirts.
A co-worker showed off a tie-dye he did recently. He used his favorite white shirt that started to have the dreaded armpit stains, but it also had a nice little screen print in just black on the chest. It just added a little something to the over all idea. So the next time you have a stain on anything lighter in color... think about tie-dyeing it. Also, don't be afraid to cut the sleeves and manipulate to update the look.

Just plain sexy! Seriously doable, grab a nighty at a thrift store, dye and funk up to wear as a dress.

These are all individually inspiring, take a closer look at each on their own, don't get overwhelmed by the mix of colors.

I really like the sleeves cut off for a hill-billy twist, but a flirty skirt keeps it on trend and sassy.

Any one of the following are do-able... Don't waist your money on a designer label.

I think buying an over-sized v-neck in the men's department would be great. Cut the under arm of the sleeve  to the arm pit and you have a spanking fresh look, it will end up like the orange on the bottom right or this image.

Hot tips: ~Natural fibers are best, they will absorb the true color of the dyes best. At the link there are multiple time on how to go about achieving the best results.  ~RIT dye at the grocery store totally works here, you don't need to be sucked into buying some fancy kit.
