Time is a Great Healer...

Time is a great healer...
...but I do sometimes wish it would hurry itself up...
As I've explained I've been off recently recovering from my 4th (5th stomach surgery overall) laparoscopy to treat my endometriosis and Ive taken a lot longer to recover than I hoped I would...if you listen to the doctors or read online alot of them say youll be back in work within a couple of weeks and back to normal by a month so when things take a little longer you do get a little frustrated...also no one tells you (and I'd forgotten since last time) how much surgery and healing effects you emotionally...I've got to say that was the worst part of the whole thing and the hardest part to bounce back from...
I had excision surgery where they cut the endometriosis out rather than laser it so this takes a little more time to heal than the previous ones and aswell as this they looked all over my whole stomach up to my diaphragm and lungs so it was pretty invasive...they managed to removed as much as they could though so on a whole the surgery was a success so I cant ask for much more than that...I know it will come back and I'll most probably have to go through this all again but for now I'm thinking postively, back in work, eating healthily and starting back with exercise next week so all is good for now...
Ive gained around 10lb, lost all muscle definition and am terrified of hurting myself so next week I'm starting a course of personal training sessions to get myself back on track and I can honestly say I cant wait...mad ay? But I just want to feel good about myself and my body again and be in the best shape I can be...especially with a trip to Thailand at the end of the year and of course my wedding in less than 9 months...eeeeek...cant wait...
As well as this they say having as little fat as possible minimises the growth of endometriosis (even though having the disease makes it more difficult to lose weight...catch 22) so Im doing it for the good of my health too...also I want to be fit and strong so if I need to go through this again I'm ready for it...I'm sure the first session on Tuesday will be tough but Ill let you guys know how I get on...if I can walk that is :)
