Thoughts for a Rainy Day

By Cynthialuhrs @wickedgreens

imagesIt’s raining, a soft gentle rain here in the Carolinas today. The cats are napping and I want to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea. But alas, I have the next novel due to my editor at the end of November so I will work and listen to the rain as it falls against the window.

I leave you with some thoughts on rain. Enjoy.

And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow.
-G. K. Chesterton

A feeling of sadness and longing that is not akin to pain, and resembles sorrow only as the mist resembles the rain.
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby.
-Langston Hughes

Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet.
-Roger Miller

A rainy day is the perfect time for a walk in the woods.
-Rachel Carson

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.
-Rabindranath Tagore
