I love hearing from my readers almost as much as I love rowing. I’ve had emails from rowers all around the world, from Kansas and Canada to Australia and Aberystwyth, and I love the idea of an international rowing community all held together by river-love and pain.
Today I had an email from a British expat rower living in the US, and it included this little nugget, which was so true and so wise I thought I’d pass it on. This is what Roger had to say:
“Remember rowing is a life sport,
you don’t need to do everything all at once
and however long you live and row you will never get it perfect.”
Isn’t that brilliant? It’s so true, but so easy for forget in the rush for glory. Thank you, Roger from America. You made my day.
