On the 27th of July, after a quite long and painful opening ceremony (we can’t believe 007 and Harry Potter can be considered as expression of the British Culture) directed by Danny Boyle, the 2012 London Olympic Games have started.
As you may have understood, we didn’t really like the ceremony, which we felt it was cheesy and weak; however it ended up with the ignition of the amazing Olympic cauldron designed by Thomas Heatherwick.
The design of the cauldron had been one of the most closely-guarded secrets of the opening ceremony.
