Happy Monday + July 1st. It's the perfect day to start something new or start achieving a goal. What's on your list?
Life lately has been a little crazy for me. I've been attempting to whip my house and myself into shape... and that takes time, y'all. To top it off, it has been absolutely gorgeous outside and I've been walking the dogs nearly 5 miles every day. Love it.
Anywho, it was an incredibly busy weekend filled with three 30th birthday parties.
First, Jeremiah's best friend Adam (and his wife) turned 30 on Friday night. We celebrated at a bar on Lake Minnetonka -- close to where J grew up -- and had a blast. Let's just say I was a much needed sober-cab that night.
On Saturday, it was Lo's 30th birthday celebration. Lauren has become such a good friend of mine. It's crossed from a blogging buddy relationship to an "in real life" friendship that I am so grateful for. A few other amazing MN blogger ladies came to celebrate, too and it was so much fun. Happy Birthday, Lo!
Yesterday, Jeremiah and I went to the Minneapolis Food Truck Festival in Uptown. J has always worked in the burbs, so he hasn't really gotten a chance to experience the incredible food trucks in downtown Minneapolis. There were also quite a few food trucks from neighboring St. Paul that I had never heard of before. It was insanely packed! We only got to try 3 things because the lines were super long -- even though there were soooo many options. Since it was only the second year of the festival, it was evident that they have a lot of organizing to do for future events. Regardless, it was prime people watching and practice for the upcoming state fair. The food smelled amazing, there was live music, and the weather was gorgeous. A recipe for a perfect summer afternoon.
