This Week In Workouts

By Lilveggiepatch @Lilveggiepatch

Most days, I’m out the door at 7:45 AM and return home after 9.  On days I get home earlier, the thought of heading back outside to the gym is just too exhausting in and of itself.  So I’ve been on the lookout for quick workouts I can do at home that require minimal equipment.  If I can do 20 minutes or so before I leave in the morning, I can save the weekends for cardio at the gym.  I also won’t suffer from (lack of) workout guilt, and won’t have nag of future exercise hanging over my head all day.

Here are some favorites:

yogadownload.com’s (free!) 20 minute podcasts

Melissa’s barre-inspired booty workout

Glamour’s “$25,000 workout”

So here’s my plan for the week, if I can manage it:

Monday: 25k workout (done!)

Tuesday: 20 minute yogadownload podcast, probably Hip Opening Flow

Wednesday: off

Thursday: 25k workout

Friday: 30 minutes of cardio at the gym  (the CrossRamp is my favorite machine)

Saturday: 25k workout + 30 minutes of cardio

Sunday: off OR 30 minutes of cardio

This may not seem like an intense schedule, but I’ve been pretty relaxed about exercise lately.  The hardest part is not sleeping through the alarm clock!  But when I do manage to wake up a little earlier, I feel so much more refreshed and alert and ready to start the long day.

It’s hard to motivate ourselves to move sometimes, but I’m here today to offer a little help!  Remember that Meet Ellie outfit I gushed about last week?  So flattering, so comfy…. (Ignore the morning hair.)

Well, Ellie accidentally sent me TWO outfits, which means… I’m giving away one of them to you!

One winner will win the sold-out Tempt Me tank, size XS (it fits comfortably the way a size S would) and Kiss Me Capri, size S.

To enter, leave a comment below sharing how you get motivate to move.  For an extra entry, share a photo of yourself in action on Instagram and tag “@lilveggiepatch” so I can see it!

I’ll pick a winner on Thursday, March 14.  Good luck, and happy sweating!
