Happy Wednesday everyone. Here’s what I’ve been up to in bookland this week!
Now: Goth Girl and the Ghost of a Mouse ~ Chris Riddell
These books are so aesthetically pleasing, pictures don’t do it justice, but trust me, they would look amazing on any book shelf. And I’m pleased to say that I’m enjoying the story too!
Then: Frozen Charlotte ~ Alex Bell
So, so, good! If you like to be creeped out, I highly recommend this one. I reviewed it earlier in the week.

Either Me & Mr J by Rachel McIntyre, or Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, which are both advanced review copies I need to start ASAP.

I found this book on the lovely Cleo’s blog, who is a bit obsessed with murder and mayhem – in the best possible way! It stuck out for me as it’s set near my hometown.

The Only Ones ~ Aaron Starmer
It was the cover that drew me to this book which I stumbled upon on Time Travel Times Two, and it sounds really unique so I had to add to my wishlist.

The Death House ~ Sarah Pinborough
I wasn’t overly impressed with Poison – the first book I read by Sarah (although the book itself was so pretty), but I follow her on Twitter and really like her take on things, so I’m hoping this new YA horror book from her will be more to my liking. Loving the freaky cover.
Toby’s life was perfectly normal… until it was unravelled by something as simple as a blood test.
Taken from his family, Toby now lives in the Death House: an out-of-time existence far from the modern world, where he, and the others who live there, are studied by Matron and her team of nurses. They’re looking for any sign of sickness. Any sign of their wards changing. Any sign that it’s time to take them to the sanatorium.
