This Post is Dedicated to My Smoking Habit.

“Really, I don’t recommend smoking not even a single stick.”

I started smoking at around 17 years old. At that time I wasn’t even thinking anything except of how cool I would look like doing outrageous things since I study at a catholic school. Years pass and I just came to a  habit that always have a pack in my bag, it wasn’t about the fitting in issue anymore but the habit I got used to.

Then came along a man that showed me that even a metal musician doesn’t smoke. It came to me that his friends smoke but how come he didn’t get the same habit like I did. So I got inspired to stop. Well, there you go I then learned the way to stop smoking by hanging out with him for years. Then it ended. Later on my vice came back. I realized at that time it depends on who I hang out with. If I’m happy doing other stuff and keeping myself busy I’ll get away with it.

When I came back to my vice my immune system got turned down. I always have sore throat and cough that would even last for months. Meaning it has no good effect for any individual.

The time I started working I encountered all sorts of problems with long hours of work to top that off I also got a lot of relationship frustrations on both my family and boyfriend relation. Smoking then became my point of break time.

Smoking a cigarette gives me that immediate feeling of mental relaxation. The tension is lessened. To further explain that, I felt as if I am numbed for as long as that stick is lit upon my fingers. It’s a temporary high. My point is its a short term solution to keeping myself calm. And then again I would say it gives no good effects with regards to my health.

Its not about looking cool anymore nor about the effect it gives your body to relax. Making myself occupied with happy thoughts and productive activities helped me stop. It could actually help me stir away from the habit I once thought permanent.

“If I can, you can stop,”
