Thirty Blogs: Saving My Hair @ Number76 Mont Kiara

By Suvenchow
It was finally THE day where I was going to get my hair cut at Number76 @ Mont Kiara. And the day begun with me having to wake these 2 bubbas up. Aren't they absolutely adorable with their sleeping positions? LOL.

Our appointments were at 1pm and 2pm for Mr Thirty and I respectively. When we arrived at the salon, we were impressed with the setup and deco. I mean, who doesn't love the rustic vintage kinda look, hey?

Thirty Blogs: Saving my hair @ Number76 Mont KiaraThey even have a small play area for the kiddos, with heaps of activities for them to self entertain, like colouring, blocks, cars, trains, etc. Little Miss Thumper managed to stay there all by herself for the whole 3 hours that we were there. Totally awesome I tell you!
Thirty Blogs: Saving my hair @ Number76 Mont KiaraEven Little Miss Unicorn was a happy camper, albeit only for a short while. LOL.
Anyway, Mr Thirty started with his haircut by Sato-sama, the Director stylist, when I was busy snapping away. Sato-sama, like any typical Japanese, was such a well-mannered guy. He took the time trying to understand what Mr Thirty wanted. You could see that Sato-sama was very thorough and detailed when it came to his job. It was like watching a passionate Picasso at work.

And silly me forgot to take the "after" picture of Mr Thirty cos I was busy walking here and there kaypor-ing. LOL. Sooooooo, we'll skip that and talk about my experience instead. LOL. I had my session with Fung, who is a senior stylist there.

I swear Fung is the first ever stylist to not push me into chopping off my hair short or perm my hair. Every single stylist I patronised in the past always either tells me to a) chop my hair off short short; or b) perm it so that it has more volume. Instead, he recommended me to trim off my damaged ends, and to just do a treatment as per my voucher (the one I bought from Groupon), and nothing more. He didn't try to push me into doing any extra treatments, or suggests that I buy products to salvage my hair. And that itself made me a fan of Number76. I absolutely detest hair salons that are pushy and care only about getting the client to spend as much as they can.

Thirty Blogs: Saving my hair @ Number76 Mont KiaraI've never had 2 stylists work on my hair at the same time. Talk about making feel like a diva. LOL
By 4pm, we were all done and ready to go. Mr Thirty was happy with his hair, I was happy with my hair, although we both didn't get to dye our hair this time as we wanted to keep the session as short as possible since we had the 2 bubbas tagging along. We were so blessed that Little Miss Thumper and Little Miss Unicorn were so well behaved throughout the whole thing. :)
And you know what, we were so eager to get home that I myself, too, forgot to snap a picture of my end result while at the salon. LOL. And by the time I got into the car with the bubbas, my hair was already in a mess. But I guess a messy hair pic is better than none, right? So here it is. *Pardon the messy look, the hair actually feels softer than it looks. LOL*

Love, Miss Thirty
p/s: Thank you Fung and Sato-sama for the wonderful experience. It was indeed a happy change of scenery patronising a salon that isn't filled with pushy salesman hairdressers.
Stay tuned for my next visit to Number76 right before CNY 2015!
