Thirsty Thursday: Rosey

By Raymondleejewelers @raymondleejwlrs

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll likely catch a whiff of obsession. And I don’t mean Calvin Klein, though the inexplicable return to en vogue of tightey whiteys does mean the 90’s resurgence has come full circle. No no, I’m talking about my Simon G. obsession. Diamonds by Raymond Lee is an authorized dealer of this fabulous brand, and RLJ got their first shipment of all things Simon a few weeks ago. My co-workers have been dutifully snapping and snapchatting away as they fill up the newest designer showcase with these goodies.

I’ve loved Simon G since middle school. I remember stealing my Mom’s magazines and poring over their always clever ads. And beyond funny ad copy, the rings are insanely gorgeous. Like our other designer lines before Simon G., it too has its own distinct style – you can just spot a Simon G. girl a mile away, thanks to the rocks on her finger.

But I didn’t know that Simon G also specialized in fashion jewelry. Equally lovely concoctions of diamonds and precious metal that shine just as beautifully as their bridal pieces – especially when it comes to rose gold.

Simon G Rose gold banded diamond cocktail ring

This stunning Simon G. banded right hand ring features .66ctw of round brilliant diamonds, varying in size. It’s the “stacked” look all in one simple piece (it also comes in bracelet and earring form.)

This lovely ring is low-profile enough to wear every day, but with the right accent pieces can dress up a little black dress perfect for any cocktail party. Speaking of which, I’d like to propose a toast.

Little Black Dress Plunge Midi

To this va-va-voom LBD at DailyLook. I love the midi hemline and a-line skirt, contrasted with the navel–gazing plunge neckline. On a dress like this, you don’t want to wear a necklace. Enough attention on that particular zone o’ the torso, you feel me? Instead, you need a great cocktail ring, a Love bangle or three, and a pair of a) Big diamond studs b) Fun, vintage button or spray earrings. I would also lose those shoes and wear a fun pair, more appropriate for sipping on something like this:

Rose cardamom cocktail

A botanical, herbal infusion of rose and cardamom is the perfect touch for this beautiful cocktail ring! You can thank Design Sponge for the recipe – cheers!
