My favorite new approach for my Art Trading Card class is to think of a category, and challenge students to fill in the blanks.1. Students drew things that are orange in pencil on their 2.5" x 3.5" papers.
2. They traced the edges with a thin black marker. I shared some orange Washi tape from Michaels in polka dot and striped patterns for extra inspiration.
3. Shapes were colored in with colored pencils. Cards were placed in trading card sheets that you can find at Staples.
