You may not think the middle of a city is the optimal place for an authentic therme spa, but right next to Porta Romana is an oasis in the city. It offers everything typical of a Therme Spa; hydro-massage baths, hammam, bio saunas, turkish baths, all in a beautiful building with more beautiful outside.
Buy a one day ticket (35-46 euro) and you get access to the entire day at the spa, a light lunch and all the added necessities: bathrobe, towel, flip flops, and shower kit.
There seems to be endless Therme spas around Italy (if you want one near the lakes, head to Lago di Garda), but you don’t even have to leave the city if you want an escape. And it is clean and beautiful, not a run down city spa! Enjoy!
