There is light at the end of the tunnel- some random things

There is light at the end of every tunnel, there is a tomorrow after every today and there is an after to every before. While we all struggle to adapt and acclimate to our new lifestyle which entails social distancing, self-quarantine, face-timing, work-from-home, zoom meetings, home-schooling and many other unforeseen abrupt changes which might feel daunting to you today but tomorrow when you wake up and realize that your family and you have been blessed with another day, you'll not regret this change.

Well, I am not going to get started on this global health crisis and how it is taking a toll on human life as it ain't my territory, but I wanted to talk to you about some random things from a few weeks ago that I took for granted, that I am yearning now and that is giving me hope that there will be a better future- a future that you and I are eagerly waiting for.

  • For instance this BAG gifted to my by Bee and Kin. It is a tech bag for the woman of today ( read about this bag and other tech bags HERE ). I received this bag right before the shutdowns were announced. I was able to head out and take some photos but every time I look at it, yes I admire this bag every time I'm in my closet, I so want all of this to end, so that I can stroll around with this bag, wearing a pretty summer dress, stress-free and disinfectant-free.
  • This pant set that you see was a random purchase. It is from H&M and was one of the most coveted and sold out set from their recent divided collection. I was able to shop early, a few hours before it launched through their app and a special invite and snagged this set which got sold out minutes after launching. From celebs to influencers, this set was everywhere and why not- it is a stunner! I wore the button front shirt knotted but if worn as is looks great too. I can't wait to wear this again, probably to a girls lunch or an influencer event, obviously when normalcy resumes.
  • I have been diligently following a morning routine these days, like bathing first thing in the morning and then getting dressed in some civilian clothes versus loungewear but makeup is still off the charts. I am missing all my makeup, specially this NOMAD eyeshadow duo pack that I reviewed and shared swatches of over on my Insta stories. Check out the BEAUTY highlight to see the pretty spring/summer eyeshadow colors that I can't wait to wear when situations are better and close to normal.

  • Till February end it was certain that we were traveling to Paris in April during spring break and to India in June during summer break. We even booked our tickets to Paris and I was reaching out to hotels there for a potential partnership. But who knew that life would take a 360 degree turn and not only will we have to cancel our trips but get stuck with airline credit that we don't even know when we will get to use next. With the virus spread anticipated to slow down in summer and return back in fall, traveling is so uncertain. We all took everything for granted but life and things change in a flash. However, I have no regrets of canceling our Paris trip but I would really like to go see my family back in India this summer- AMEN to that!
  • Until a few weeks ago husband and I were enjoying lunch dates, Del Mar DC being the last restaurant I reviewed ( see HERE ). It has been four weeks since I ate restaurant food and I won't deny that I am missing it like crazy. It is a personal choice that we aren't ordering takeout or Uber Eats delivery. I know restaurants are being extra cautious with how the food is being prepared and delivered without any contact to you, I just happen to one of the scared-mommas who is avoiding any sort of human interaction. We've ordered grocery delivery a couple times, which has its own process of how it comes into my house and how we handle it. Truth be told, I would be the first one to hit a restaurant the day all the lockdown and shelter-in-place is eased and lifted. Good food has my name written all over it....
