The year of working harder and loving more
In my new year's day post I said that I hadn't made any resolutions as I never seem to keep them longer than a week or two, but here I am, posting a few little things that I'm aiming to achieve during the year. 2013 will be the year that I:
Put my all into university work - As it's my fourth and final year of university I want to put everything I can into my remaining assignments, exams and the dreaded dissertation which is about half-way there now (hooray). January will be a jam-packed month full of essay writing, interviewing and analysing so I'd better keep working hard and hopefully stick to my schedule. I know the next few months will fly by and soon enough I can hopefully say that the hard work has paid off as I finally get that degree. Honours Management degree, here we come!
Keep blogging - Time and time again my love for blogging is reignited and right now I'm going through that phase. With a million other things taking over it's lovely to have somewhere to escape to, even if this means to empty my head of all things beauty or of something I did that day. Blogging has given me the freedom to ramble about my new favorite bottle of nail polish, find plenty more amazing blogs to read and to chat to some lovely beauty bloggers out there. I'm very proud that my little 'secret' blog has grown so much over the past year and a half (near enough) and I can promise that Behind These Closed Eyes is here to stay. I'm starting 2013 with the help of a head full of post ideas, my brother's snazzy new camera and even more passion for blogging.
Learn to drive - I'm coming up for 21, will soon be finished with uni and will on the hunt for a full time job so I think it's finally about time that I learn to drive. I had always put it off as I just didn't have the money or time for lessons but 2013 will be the year that I finally get started. Watch this space!
Treasure each day as it comes - A few recent happenings have really made me think about the value of life and how quickly it can be gone, and for that reason I just want to try and make the most of each day. I want to spend more time with family and less time glued to my laptop, and of course I want to treasure every day I spend with David. He is well and truly the other half of me and I look forward to the many adventures we'll have this year, and for many years to come.
