The XX Century The Italian art between the wars
If the years before the First World War are characterized by the avant-gardes in Italy, the years between the two World wars there were some changes. The attempt of the social and economical upswing and the approach to the fascism were the elements of these years, channeling the communication and the art in some expressions that come close to the daily experience. The figure of the artist changed dramatically, with a sort of a return to the order. The artist emerged from the crisis of the previous avant-garde.

The different disciplines began to mingle in this era so the design and the advertising were placed side by side with the art. This exhibition has about 445 works made by the artists who clearly link the art with the expressions of the customs and life of their time.You will find names like Severini, Carrà, De Chirico, Balla, Guttuso Soffici, Fontana, Campana and many others more. The exhibition is divided into sections in order to analyze the many issues that characterize this era both under the artistic and historical profiles.
These themes range from the approach to fascism and they arrive to the first expression of the advertising, the myth of the sport, the fashion and all the fields correlated with the society .

Novecento L’arte Italiana tra le due guerre
Se il periodo antecedente alla prima guerra mondiale e durante è caratterizzato dalle avanguardie, nel periodo tra le due guerre ci furono dei cambiamento. Furono anni di tentata ripresa sociale ed economica e di avvicinamento al fascismo, incanalando la comunicazione e l’arte in espressioni che si avvicinassero al vissuto. La figura dell’artista cambiò notevolmente, con una sorta di ritorno all’ordine, scaturita dalla crisi delle avanguardie stesse. Era un’epoca in cui le varie discipline incominciavano a mescolarsi per cui il design e la pubblicità venivano affiancati all’arte. La mostra evidenzia circa 445 opere di artisti che chiaramente mettono in relazione arte e espressioni del costume e della vita del tempo. Troverete grandi nomi come Severini, Carrà, De Chirico, Balla, Guttuso, Soffici, Campana e molti altri. La mostra è divisa in sezioni per poter analizzare i vari temi che caratterizzano questa epoca artistica e storica: questi temi variano dall’approccio dell’arte al fascismo, passando agli albori pubblicitari, al mito dello sport, i settori correlati con il tessuto sociale. Una mostra da visitare assolutamente per comprendere la complessità dell’arte in Italia durante il XX secolo.
