They are called demonstrative

That

That indicates a person or thing far away in space from the speaker.
It can be an adjective or pronoun.

While in English we have this both for male and female form in Italian they are different

This indicates an object or person close to the speaker.
It can be an adjective or pronoun.

While in English we have this both for male and female form in Italian they are different

These and Those

Here are all the forms to the singular, plural, female, and male because in Italian genders and numbers are different and use different determinant articles!
