The Winter Sunset

By Neerajnavare
I shall be doing quite a lot of 'Winter' Smokey eyes, sticking to the various conventional colors that are worn during winters and then add some quirky Beauty Traveller touches to it. This is the first look 'Winter Sunset'.....
The Winter Sunset
Warm eyeshadows in winter look absolutely stunning and enhanced when paired with dusky winter greys. Today look is inspired by the winter sunset in a picture I saw on the net.
The Winter Sunset
Its a stunning look that can be dolled up using a vampish burgundy lipstick or dolled down using a soft silky peach lip. Isn't the idea stunning....Lets see how to do this look......
The Winter Sunset
This is the beautiful picture that's the source of inspiration for this look.........................
For the foundation, I went easy on the skin using Guerlain's Parure Aqua Radiant Glow Foundation, a dot of Clinique All About Eyes concealer and a veil of YSL Poudre Compacte Matte and Radiance powder.
The Winter Sunset
Conceal under the eyes to waver away the dark circles. Please pardon me for my dry under eye area. It looks so parchment like. Thence minimal powder and a lot of under eye moisturization.
The Winter Sunset
Prime the lids with a Too Faced Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer.
The Winter Sunset
Apply the CORAL eyeshadow from the Guerlain's Coup De Foudre eyeshadow palette on the inner and middle third of the lids.
The Winter Sunset
Apply the gray with multi colored shimmer eyeshadow from the Coup de Foudre eyeshadow quad on the outer corners and the crease.Since this is a muted grey, I am darkening it with few colors from the Urban Decay Vice Palette.
The Winter Sunset
Apply Urban Decay eyeshadow in Black Market on the outer corners of the upper and lower lids. Apply UD shadow in Desperation in the crease. With a pencil brush, trace and darken the upper lash line with Black Market eyeshadow.
The Winter Sunset
Smoke out Desperation on the lower lids. I went a bit overboard do had to do some cleaning with a cotton bud and makeup remover later on.
The Winter Sunset
Highlight the inner corners and brow bone with UD Echo Beach eyeshadow.
The Winter Sunset
With a thin liner brush like the Real Techniques apply Maybelline Eye Studio Gel liner in Black.
The Winter Sunset
Curl the lashes and comb, fill and tame the brows.
The Winter Sunset
Apply 2-3 coats of Lancome Hypnose Doll's Eye lashes mascara in Black. This mascara is a bummer in general but suits this look.
For the blush, I loved my Chanel Joues Contraste in Malice. To highlight softly I used the Guerlain Parure De Nuit Highlighter. For the lips - For the dolled down version I suggest Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in BOY (Its Lisa Eldridge's favorite). For the dolled up version, apply MAC Lip Mix in Burgundy over a Kiehls Lip balm and slick on some Guerlain Gloss D'enfer in Prune Zip.
Hope you liked the look. Do try this one for an evening function and share your look....Also do let me know in the comments.
Till then,
Ciao
