THE SHOWS
-I had every intention of staying up and watching Blindspot, Full Frontal and The Detour, but on my way home from work I listened to my West Wing podcast which reminded me once again how amazing Martin Sheen is. He's currently in Grace & Frankie on Netflix. Season 2 is up now and I'm on episode 5. President Bartlett's gay now and he's really good at it. Sooooo no Blindspot, no Housewives, no Detour or Samantha Bee. I'll have to catch up on those over the weekend or something. I know I keep saying this, but I don't think anyone's listening to me. The West Wing was great when it originally aired, it's great now too but what makes it even better is Joshua Malina's West Wing Weekly podcast where he and his buddy, Hrishi, talk Aaron Sorkin and all things West Wing. They've had Dule Hill, Janelle Maloney and some staffers on their show so far and all of them have been amazing. This week Lyn Paolo the costumer for The West Wing was their guest. I didn't think that she would be such an interesting guest, but she was. It's really a great way to re-watch an old series. I wish someone would do it with Friday Night Lights. Anyway, if you're vacationing over the Summer or you're NOT watching Big Brother with me this Summer, consider The West Wing.
THE OTHER STUFF
-I'm not sure I've ever explained my writing "process" to you guys. I'm not sure it actually matters most of the time except when deep thinking about something comes into play. I watch each show and keep my laptop with me while I watch. As the show goes on, I just type reminders or key words like "why isn't grace in school? or "Alicia's drinking to much" or "All I see is Rizzo from Grease when I see Alicia's Mom". Get the idea? I don't actually write the paragraph until the next morning most of the time. So, most of what I write literally flows out of my brain as if I was speaking to my screen. With time pressure, grammar pressure and comedy pressure, I don't have the luxury to analyze or think too long about anything. After reading the King's recap of The Good Wife's series finale, I realized that there was SO much more to everything in the final episode than I would have ever realized. I had NO recollection of the slap that started the series off and didn't make any connection to the slap that ended the series either. For any of you guys who watched The Good Wife, this is a must read: http://www.cbs.com/shows/the_good_wife/news/1005197/the-good-wife-creators-say-farewell-spoilers-/?ftag=MKT-01-10aaa7b
-This has nothing at all to do with TV, but I found it pretty interesting and thought you would to:

-Everyone is vying for our video eyeballs…everywhere you look VIDEO. We all have so much video to discover, consume and share that at times it feels a bit overwhelming. Now, a new player in the video space…Spotify. Yep, they have 12 new original series coming in 2016 and a bunch of them sound pretty cool for music fans like me. I like Trading Playlists where 2 celebs trade Spotify playlists, Singles a show that follows artists as they record new takes on their most well known songs in a super intimate way and a new take on the music video with another cool show called Flash Frame.
