The Vine Staghorn Workshop

By Lifeonthesquares @lifeonthesqs

The Vine Staghorn Workshop Happy Monday y’all! I wanted to recap about an event I went to a few months ago. Back in June, I found out that The Vine of St. Simons would be co-hosting an event in Savannah with Southbound Brewery and Sons of Sawdust. The Vine helped Todd Events with all of the floral design at my wedding, so I knew I had to attend. I think everything that The Vine does is amazing. I can’t tell you how many times I have visited St. Simons or Sea Island and tried to plot how I could fit one of their jaw dropping six-foot-tall Fiddle Leaf Figs in my car (or my husband’s truck) to take home. It hasn’t worked yet, but a girl can dream.

Anyway, the event was super fun and I was so glad to bring my friend Kelsey along. We had a great time and learned a lot about ferns (we both admit we don’t have green thumbs). I was amazed that if you mount a fern to salvaged food and mist it with a spray bottle, it can last YEARS. Who knew? So cool! I was also happy to learn about Sons of Sawdust and hear about their story. This was a great event and I hope to attend one similar in the future!
