THE SHOWS
The Vampire Diaries Elena's was locked up and sick with a virus and Damon was locked up and sick with a virus but they got to talk on the phone. Elena actually used a pay phone which was sort of funny to see. Apparently she had a million dimes and was able to stay on the line for a really long time without an operator asking her for more money. Of course everyone was doing everything in their power to find the antidote because there's ALWAYS an antidote. Stephan was tortured but I think compared to being locked in a safe underwater, it was probably a piece of cake. Liv and Luke who really wants us to know that he is gay for some reason, aren't what they seem, but nobody ever is on this show. Of course Elena escaped and of course Damon escaped and they met up, fessed up and hooked up. A rip the shirt off hook up is always my favorite and since we haven't had one between these two in a while I was satisfied.
Reign
This show is really pushing the envelope huh? I mean the King is a crazy Christian Gray freak and all of his women are happy to participate in his antics. He's got Kenna choking him and doing girls while he watches and this is 9pm on the CW! I don't really care about all the stuff that goes on in the woods. Bash and the blood cult, Nostradamus and Olivia. BORING. Francis and Mary, the King, the Queen and Kenna, that's really the good stuff. Francis told Mary about Lola, but Mary didn't tell Francis that Lola's pregnant and she's not planning on it either. She's trying to find a guy to marry...fast, but she wasn't willing to settle for the gay guy. I was pretty happy and yet surprised at how liberal Francis and Mary are. I mean they were fine with Lola's dude being into guys and that was way back then. This shows nuts, but I really love it.
Scandal
I knew it was James that got shot! Told ya! Didn't realize it was Jake that did it, but I should have, it makes sense. Nice of him to sit with James til the end and do all the dirty work himself without actually getting dirty at all. I mean he didn't even need a shower, I have to remember he's trained not to break a sweat when he digs graves. I loved all the Cyrus/James flashbacks. Hated the neck beard but so did James. How much did you love when Cyrus pulled James out of the line at the ball and came out at The White House to Glady's Knight and the Pips. Name that tune for 10 points! How much did you choke up when he lost it in the press room? Any scene with Liv and her Dad is always good. How many people is he responsible for killing? Do you remember the number? I do...10 more points if you know that one. Now Liv and David are going to take down B613. Together. Good Luck you guys. OMG Quinn and Huck are just the freakiest people on TV. Can you imagine when these two finally get together what they're going to be into? It'll make Christian and Anastasia's red room of pain seem like a playground. Finally Mellie's getting a little action, sure it's with her husband's running mate but do we care? Not really.
THE OTHER STUFF
-Over on my FBFF's show my FAVORITE...Billy Joel was on. Damn, I just love Billy. He's the coolest. Jimmy's definitely a huge Billy Joel fan too! (ya can't type BJ fan or it takes on a whole new meaning...but look...I just got that in anyway...LOL) and was tooooo cute. He got out his Ipad and did THIS: http://www.nbc.com/the-tonight-show/segments/3021 The app is called LOOPER...way cool!!! My boys RULE! I gotta order me some microphones and get started! Too bad I can't sing. After that Jimmy and Billy did "You May Be Right" together. Great performance.
-Not sure why but I thought that John Hendricks the founder of Discovery Communications, had retired already. He stepped down as CEO 10 years ago, but I forgot that he was still on the board of directors. Well...now he's really done. He's going to go discover and explore all the stuff that he's been watching on his networks for all these years. Good for him. He should have Anne Sweeney follow him around and direct a show about it. They both are doing now what they didn't have time to do before and they could talk TV in their tents after a long day of filming.
-WE tv renewed Braxton Family Values and Animal Planet's bringing back Treehouse Masters. I personally think a cooler show would be a combination of the two. Ca you imagine Tamar and Vince in a treehouse all blinged out in Burberry, gold chains and Chanel?
-USA's cancelling White Collar after its upcoming 6th season. Timing's everything, Matt Bomer's schedule would now permit him to do the 50 Shades movies, but you know how those things go. Timing's everything.
-Not EVERYTHING Mark Wahlburg does is successful. Sure he's had Entourage, a bunch of movies, the Funky Bunch and Wahlburgers but his latest show, Breaking Boston...cancelled after 1 episode.
