The Twelve Days of Endangered Animals Christmas Challenge – Day 5

How cool are frogs? A challenge inspired by golden rings and the frog prince.

On the fifth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
5 Golden Rings
4 Calling Birds
3 French Hens
2 Turtle Doves
and a Partridge in a Pear Tree

The Frog Prince is a fairy tale that was included in the Brothers Grimm's collection of tales. A spoiled princess meets a the Frog Prince after she has dropped a golden ball into a pond. The frogs magically transforms into a dashing prince and they get married.

If you ask people to mention some endangered animals frogs are usually not included on the list. Yet, many frog species are facing extinction and they are critically endangered. Like the Lemur Leaf Frog that are found in Costa Rica and Panama and this frog is Mes-mer-eye-zing! Look at those stunning eyes and feel inspired.

Also, there are the most beautiful tiny frogs that are endangered like the Brazilian gold frogs who is less than a 1 cm long, This frog is as small as a jelly bean and the frog only has three toes on each foot, and two fingers on each hand. Most frogs have five toes and four fingers.

Protecting frogs is tricky, partly because many people do not realise how important they are and today's challenge is to make list of COOL facts to help people fall in LOVE with frogs despite that they may not be a prince hiding underneath the skin.
