The Twelfth Doctor
As many of you know, I am a huge Doctor Who fan - and although I haven't been that committed to the cause recently, I have to say that I am very very gutted that Matt Smith is leaving the show!  I recently read an article about Peter Capaldi becoming the 12th Doctor to follow in Matt Smith's pretty amazing footsteps, but instead of congratulating him and being happy for him.. The article was complaining about how there should be a woman Doctor instead of a man.
Now a lot of you will also know that I am probably the least feminist person going, I'm pretty sure my hatred for studying feminism in the A Level Politics was the only reason I could remember so much and pass it! But this is just something else, it is literally on a whole new level. I don't quite understand why absolutely everything has to be equal in some feminists minds.. having a female doctor just would never ever make sense and anyway, any fan of Doctor Who will know about the huge huge female roles throughout the entire franchise. (even Sarah Jane's Adventures)... but rant over!
I'm going to go into some detail about Peter Capaldi, and give you all a heads up about the new Doctor!
Ten Facts About Peter CapaldiNumero Uno Peter Capaldi was born on April 4th, 1958 in Glasgow, Scotland. To an Irish mother and and Italian Father.
Numero Dos He is definitely most well known for his role in 'The Thick of It' (which wasn't a great show...) but he was most recently in World War Z with Brad Pritt, where he played a Doctor at a W.H.O (world health organisation.. lets hope that was coincidental ay?!)
Numero Tres Like most previous Doctor Who stars such as Colin Baker, Karen Gillan etc, Peter Capaldi has appeared on the show before in 2008. He starred as Caecilius in 'The Fires of Pompeii' with David Tennant and Catherine Tate!
Numero Cuatro He also appeared in Torchwood.... (they've been watching him for a while i'd say)Numero Cinco He is the oldest actor to play the doctor!
Numero Seis
He is the first Oscar Winning actor to play the Doctor (even if he didn't win it for acting), he also won a  BAFTA, and two British Comedy Awards!
Numero Siete He is also a film producer and director - so a little more experienced that we first thought.
Numero Ocho At age 15, Peter Capaldi wrote a letter to the Radio Times about a Doctor Who Special. Numero Nueve In fact, in case you hadn't worked it out... He is actually older than the show itself which began in 1966.
Numero Diez A nice one to end, he is the patron of two charities the Association For International Cancer Research and the Aberlour Child Care Trust.Hope you enjoyed this, muchos loveysabelle xxxxxxx
