THE SUPERANNUATED MAN #1 Review

The Superannuated Man is a pretty interesting book.  Even by Image standards.  Creator, Writer, and Artist, Ted McKeever takes us to a world where humans are the endangered species.

There’s an old, broken down ship, a scuba diver and a Hunter S. Thompson quote.  Not your typical start to any book.  The weirdness doesn’t stop there as we are introduced to more and more animals and we find out the scuba diver seems to be our main character.  He’s doing his best Weekend at Bernie’s impression as he has an extended conversation with the Captain.

Things moved quickly in this book and there are absolutely nothing but questions that come up.  It is black and white so that is a strike against it for me, but it does make up for it with some great dialog.  It’s actually pretty funny and that is what kept me reading.  I honestly have no idea what is going to happen, but I do like the concept and again, the dialog is what I really liked.  Things dropped so quickly that I have no choice except to keep reading to find out more about our mysterious main character and how the rules of nature changed sides.
