The Road Hammers Are Triumphant at The Phoenix

Posted on the 27 January 2017 by Hendrik Pape @soundcheckblg

The 2017 Triumph Motorcycle Bonneville Bobber launch party was host to an unforgettable night filled with all sorts of enjoyable entertainment for the eyes and ears. The Phoenix Concert Theater in Toronto, ON was jammed packed with spectators from all over to witness a remarkable night. The motorcycle convention had it all, from great food to even greater music. Whether you were a casual rider or an experienced die hard veteran of the open road, this proved to be a riders paradise.

The great people at Bonneville knew just how to throw an epic party and showed much appreciation to their target audience who attended the event. They had everything from the unveiling of their new motorcycle lineup, biker apparel, a barber shop where you could get your hair cut and beard trimmed, to even a tattoo parlor!

The unveiling of their three new bikes were done in such a fashion that everyone attending got the experience of a lifetime. Each bike was driven onto the concert hall floor and revved up to show their true potential. The crowd stood around with their jaws on the floor, salivating every time the engines roared. The real gem of the night and belle of the ball had to be the unveiling of the 2017 Bonneville Bobber. The Bobber is a brutally beautiful factory custom, stripped down and is the pure essence of what a bike should be.

By this time, the crowd knew they were in for a treat with the special guests set to take the stage at any given moment. The anticipation of the special musical guests just couldn't wait any longer and Bonneville knew exactly who to pair up with for such an prodigious event, after all, The Road Hammers and Triumph motorcycles have had a long beautiful lasting relationship with representation in The Road Hammers music videos, album covers and each member owning a bike of their own.

Once the band took to the stage, the Bonneville Bobber launch party was in high gear and revving at 120 mph! The band whipped through some of their signature songs and rallied the crowd to sing a long to each and every one of them. The band truly knows how to work a crowd in every sense and knows just what the audience wants.

The Road Hammers were forever gracious for the hospitality of Triumph Motorcycles and made it known by inviting the owner of Bonneville up on stage to play guitar on Honky Tonk Woman (The Rolling Stones) and Mary Jane's Last Dance (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers), proving The Road Hammers are certainly not shy when it comes to letting loose and rocking some great covers to get the audience going.

Through their heavy hitting set list, the boys gave us a taste of their upcoming album, slated for release in the spring, with one of their new singles dubbed "The Squeeze". In true Road Hammers fashion, it track gets the audience moving and singing along with catchy hooks and an unforgettable chorus that will repeat itself in your head multiple times even after the show is long gone (not a bad thing!).

In the middle of their set, The Road Hammers signaled for their long time friend and head of Bonneville to come play with them on stage, a familiar face was seen in the crowd and was quickly gestured to join the party. Ottawa native country singer, Kelly Prescott was quick to accompany The Road Hammers in singing The Rolling Stones hit classic, Honky Tonk Woman. Jason McCoy would earlier say how fitting it would be to play The Stones cover since The Rolling Stones played The Phoenix back in the day.
