The Real L Word is Coming to NYC…For Real This Time!

Hi, I'm Whitney and The Real L Word is really just the Whitney Show...but now it can be YOUR show, New Yorkers!

11/4/11- by Natasia Langfelder

If you’re a regular reader of lesbian gossip, you know that last year at basically exactly this time there were rumors that LA-based Showtime hit, The Real L Word was going to come to NYC, Brooklyn specifically. Brooklyn is where the hottest lesbians live. If you don’t believe me, go to Metropolitan on a Wednesday, those girls are HAWT.

What were we talking about? Oh, right. So back to The Real L Word. Showtime released the official “NYC is getting in on this action” press release this week, saying:

While seasons one and two focused exclusively on L.A.’s tight-knit lesbian community, season three will introduce several new women from the vibrant New York scene while also featuring the return of key “fan favorite” cast members.  The contrasting styles of east coast and west coast lesbian life is sure to make for an electrifying season.  Although the series will straddle both coasts, it will continue to depict these ladies in their passionate (mis-)adventures, both at work and play. Fans of THE REAL L WORLD can also expect some big surprises and special guest star appearances throughout the season.  A search for dynamic new cast members is expected to start soon in L.A. and N.Y.

So yeah if your dream is to be a reality TV star and you want to put your sexy lesbian life on camera, keep your eye out for casting calls. I would try out but I live in Manhattan, not Brooklyn so automatically that means I’m not queer/hot enough. I’m also pretty sure that Showtime doesn’t want to have their cameramen follow me to my office where I sit on my butt all day. A day job miiiiiight hinder your ability to get on the show, but don’t take my word for it, ask Illene Chaiken.

Good luck ladies!
