The Real Face of INDIA - Irony!

By Shivam Ralli @shivamralli167
The diverse India- It is the country of cultures, ethnic values, land, festivals, beliefs and irony. Being Indian is an ideal example for portraying ironical myths and practices. This nation is filled with creeping Jesus and hypocrites. People here say something, intend something and do something.  For instance, they say that they have turned modern with the large buildings and malls but their thinking remains to be narrow, fickle and old fashioned. Here are some ironies that India exhibits. India’s ranking is 6th amongst the world billionaire holders but at the same time India carries 1/3 of the world’s extreme poor population. Is this where the nation is being developed? Though India is a golden country and has a lot of money but all this money is with a few hands or in the Swizz back account of our esteemed politicians who take an oath before claiming the seat to be honest and dedicated towards the country’s economy and development. This is a wide scaped example of how the riches in the nation are also a part of the thrive of opposites.

India being a sundry of religions also shows some similar characters in the religious aspects. People fight over religion. They claim their religions to be the best, to be on the top most level and want it to be respected by all and for this they may even go down to a brutal level of violence and agony. The strange part is that none of them must have ever read the holy books of their very religion for which the half stepped up to even kill the other person. Another thing is that all the religions preach us the same thing of non violence, faith, trust, togetherness and helpfulness. They just use different ways and languages to teach us this. Then what is the justification of this fight? When you haven’t ever touched the holy book or all have almost the same beliefs then why do you have to grapple!Next is the about the irony of the impressions of a girl in the Indian society. People say that they respect women and will take steps to protect them but the question is what has been done as India has become the rape capital of the world. If some instance of the sort takes place people in masses come for rallies and candle marches. The boys scream slogans and protest against it but later the same guys go around teasing girls on the roads. In India, girls are asked not to speak to strangers but are forced to marry them. Government says that every girl in this country has the right to get educated, then why are there still prevalent practices of sati, girl infanticide, burkah and no girl education. People want a boy child. They kill a girl child in the womb itself though it is a crime. But later they want a sister, mother, wife and friend also. Such wishes are impossible to be fulfilled until we ourselves take necessary steps and decisions in regard to women.Another amazing thing is the political scenario of this country. Government says- ‘in today’s fast competition world, passing class 8th would only fetch you the job of a peon but at the same time, in the same nation the country is governed by  pure illiterates, both from qualifications and minds. A person who passes class 8thearns around 1000-5000 rupees a month whereas an illiterate politician earns about 1,00,000-5,00,000 in a month in white and what in black is something we can’t estimate. This is another reason why the education is India hasn’t developed- the money to be invested in this is eaten away by these ministers. Now, what is the use of education if the people promoting it are itself the most inappropriate examples and barriers of it?Every coin has two sides, a good one and a bad one. We don’t say that India doesn’t have good aspects but in this article we only tried to draw your attention towards the implementation of various things ironically in the nation. India is stunning place. It has decent and honest people but here it is about the ones who have been an obstacle for the nation’s development and reputation. Just like it is said-
‘A beautiful place also has some contradictions in itself!’
Thanks for reading and make attempts to transform your nation a better place.
